Wow. That's a very obnoxious, flippant statement to make to somebody who just went through something like that. I would fire a doctor who said something like that, on the spot. He may be considered one of the best, but how comfortable are you with what he did?
When I realized how invasive LEEP was, I insisted having it done in outpatient, under general anesthesia. I wish I knew what to tell you because from everything I have read and have been told, it takes 30 minutes to start the prep work to finish the actual cutting. What have other women who have had that doctor said about the time frame? Did the doctor give you any kind of explanation as to how much was removed? Did you see the lab report? Did the doctor explain how extensive the dysplasia was, where it was located, and if anything else was involved? I'm sorry you've been left feeling you were pushed along an assembly line. It is your right to have a doctor who feels more compassion for patients. Your body is more precious than that!
