Good for you and your husband!  My wife goes to Duke and they usually use the term stable when referring to this disease.  12 months of chemo is kind of standard.  They should do a PET scan and if there are no hot spots then you can stop chemo.  That's a real high point and not everyone makes it that far.  You are fortunate.  I caution you though, that you aren't out of the woods.  You need to keep up with regular appointments and MRI's.  Don't let that dampen your enthusiasm, you and your husband have really done well!
