Thank you for responding. We are trying the small meals a few times a day. My mother as well has inoperable. It will be a year next month that she was diagnosed and she did fairly well for a while. We are actually about to change doctors this week because we think a lot of the doctors attitude has a lot to do with why my mother has "lost hope". I've found female doctors in general tend to treat things with a "that's life" attitude where men a little more caring so we are going to try this out. I have her now on five small foods a day and two ensures, although she has not gained weight i feel like it is a step in the right direction.
Another thing that has worked in the past and i'm going to try again is a DVD she got from someone after she was diagnosed called "the secret" it gave her a positive attitude back then and she was doing awesome when she had a positive outlook.
It is ashame not more research is done for this disease...it not only affects the person who is diagnosed but the whole family and it just feels like the doctors because they deal with death every day the patient is just another number not a person.
I wish you luck it is good to see someone has outdone the odds and proven doctors wrong. My regards to you and your family
