Subject: RE: Alimpta for NSCLC
Date: 07/09/2008
My partner has stage IV lung cancer with brain mets and finished her 31st Alimpta treatment 3 weeks ago.  Her cancer has been stable for the last 2 years that she has been on this chemo.  The doctor is taking a break because her kidney function is decreasing, possibly a side effect, but unsure because there isn't another person who has been on Alimpta as long anywhere.  But aside from that the treatment was fairly easy.  Some vomiting, not like with the carbo and taxol though, no hair loss, the only big draw back was fatigue.  I can say that the Alimpta was much easier for her to tolerate that the other chemos she was on.  Hope it helps and keep positive.
