Can someone give me some ideas on how to deal with this loneliness while home in isolation from having rai treatment. This is only my third day. I feel so alone. Husband only come up ocassionaly to check on me. I feel like i am a poison snake. This is the worst thing that i have ever had to go thru. I will start my synthroid tomorrow. Somebody please give me some support! I am desperate!

I used my "alone" time to write thoughts to myself & to pay attention to my dreams & right them down.  I found I actually had increased intuition during this time period &  verified the visions about different people that I was getting - pretty interesting.  But it wasn't fun missing the family Easter party, my son and grandson's birthdays, etc.

If you have a computer near you, you could Google:  "Stop the Thyroid Madness" which has some great information.  Also check out "Lawsuit against Synthroid" and "Side effects of Synthroid", and "Synthroid not approved by the FDA for 46 years because of problems".

After you look up the above info you may want to look up Armour thyroid and Thyroloar.  Some people do okay on Synthroid but many do not so hopefully this info will help you....

Blessings,

Kathymmm, Thank you so much for letting me know about the other medications available. I have gained a wealth of information while researching this topic. I plan to ask my doctor about the other medications on my visit next week. It appears as though most of the patients seem to do a lot better on armour because of the t3 and t4 combination. I started on Synthroid friday and i am still very tired. My doctor told me that it would be about 6 weeks before i will actually feel the difference. He said that the it will be gradual process. Which one are you taking? I assume that you are taking Armour. I do not want to wait 6 weeks to get to a somewhat normal life again. Again thanks for the information. Knowledge is power.
