Any Advice For Me?

 I wanted to see if anyone has had the same experience as what my Dad is going through.

He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer with mets to the liver (4 tumors on the liver) in October 2007.  He went through chemo for 5 months, but it didnt work at all so he decided to get off of this poisin, it was doing way more harm than good.  He recently (two months ago) started Vit. C infusions, apricot seeds, and many herbal supplements.  Prior to a few days ago, he was getting HIGH fevers, nausia, and was always tired.  Three days ago, after he finished his vitamin C infusion, he all of a sudden had an extreemly LOW body temprature, (34 degrees c.) which is sooo ODD because he usually has a HIGH fever, he began feeling VERY restless, his stomach and ankles began to swell, and because of this, he can't sleep.  He didnt sleep for 2 nights, and had very light naps in the daytime, but mostly is just walking around from room to room day and night.  He can never get comfortable in one spot because his ascites is bothering him.  His doctor said it's not bad enough to get drained yet.

I want to know what to expect.  I always had hope that he could get better, but at this point, it does seem impossible to come back from this.  I just dont know what all of this means.  Because his temprature went from being a high fever, to being abnormally LOW, does that mean his liver is getting better?  But then does the ascites mean the cancer in his liver is getting worse?    His nausea is gone, so what does that mean? What is the restlessness about?  Also, it seems like his speech is kinda slurred but maybe that's from lack of sleep.  I just dont want to have false hope here.  Does anyone know if this sounds like my Dad is taking a turn for the WORSE or the BETTER?  My Dads doctor is useless, he just doesnt care or know what to tell him.  So I am turning to anyone who has any ideas or have gone through any wierd changes or things like this.

Hi my dad now  81 about 20 years ago we notice he was going to see doctors a lot he looked very sick and pale  he said he couldn’t do it any more sold his house sold up his business and retired  when he moved he wouldn’t tell us why or what was wrong but we kind of knew after he moved over the next few years he seem to get better he told us he started looking after him self told me he just got over what was wrong but wouldn’t tell us what it was about 18 years ago when he moved I notice  there was a lot of pawpaw trees on the property he bought.  he said since he been over seas in the army he love pawpaw  Iv had cancer for a year now he told me about a month ago I should start and eat Pawpaw just one a week because it good for you it will help my body get healthier and it might help my body fight the cancer better  I have prostrate cancer Psa 9.8  the doctors wont take the risk of an operation due to me being  over weight and a past history of  heart trouble  over the past year Iv had to take Saw Palmetto just to go to the toilet  I had a hard pain between my will down there for the last year or so so just latly  Iv been buying and eating Pawpaw for the pass  three weeks The effect is interesting if your eating a lot of Pawpaw it makes you very tired and gives you cotton wool head but it not to bad  I cut one pawpaw into 4 put them  in the fridge rap in cling rap I take a peace out at a time cut that one peace in half eat one half in  the morning the other in the after noon  For the first time in a year I can feel I’m getting better for one thing I can go to the toilet better I don’t need the Saw Palmetto any more I found out from this site I have to stay off  Sugar and to  having a cups or two of green tea daily Dad said it would  help my immune system work better may be it dos who would know Pawpaw   hopes this helps
