Subject: Unexplained pain after RAI - some where Esophagus area or chest
Date: 05/11/2008

Hi,

I had TT on April 10th, diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid cancer 3 lympnodes were affected. I had given 150 MCI RAI dosage on May 7th.\

I had given instructions to take little bit of water for the first 24 hours. Is it true that we need to take plenty of water after 24 hours?

After 24 hours i started taking lot of water to flush out the radiation traces. I started taking Levothyroxine on May 8th (150 mcg dose). From May 10th on wards i started having acidity formation and acidity is coming while i was brushing in the morning.

I also noticed pain in Esophagus area or chest (above stomch and below chest) while swalloing food. Some times i am getting pain in the same area 1 or 2 times per hour.

Does any one experienced this kind of symptoms?

Thanks,
