Good Evening Cath;

Hi Kevin!  How are you feeling now -- I've been following your comments to others and it sounds as though you are gradually recovering your strength which is a very good sign!!

I'm doing better. Getting stronger each day. I haven't been able to comment on many of the topics, I almost feel like the little kid at the big person table!

Apart from enjoying Spring, have you been able to get out into your garden and do some planting??  I've always found that planting gives me a very positive physical/psychological support in watching the things start to thrive, flower, and fruit-- I can then draw the analogy to my own situation which helps to give me strength to carry on.  Who can resist watching things grow and blossom as a sign of LIFE!!

Gram always said: "Spending some time in the garden puts lifes problems in perspective." I agree that there is a psychological component besides the actual physical one of planting something. I also firmly believe that every child should have a garden. What they learn will last them a lifetime. It additionally gives them an appreciation for farmers and what they must endure.

We, on the other hand, are enjoying one of the best Autumns ever.

Good! Because in a few short months, well... you know what's coming.

By the way, I was reading an article from Sloan Kettering that was advocating people having a double transplant -- one shortly after the first -- as offering the best prognosis for MM.  Have you heard this?

I believe another poster, perhaps with a different cancer, had mentioned this before. His Dr. felt that attacking the cancer right after the SCT was the best defense. I'm looking at getting stronger, getting back into my usual routine and perhaps over Christmas traveling to Ark. to see their Drs. and seeing which route I should follow. I figure it can't hurt to get another opinion and I hear they are thee gurus on MM. I'm also doing some research on a tandem transplant. My brother is an "A" match and one of the "pros" who posts here feel that an Allo SCT is the best bet for a cure, if one exists. But, that's down the road. Live for today!

Take care;

Kevin
