Hi I am new to this. I am 50, female, 5 children, 1 cutey tween left in the nest. I had a TT done 4 weeks ago. 4/14/08. Multi focule papillary cancer, Doc was suspicious so did a re-section took 15 lymph nodes, tested some no cancer, said still a chance it may have metasised and the RAI will seek and destroy. I will be having that done in June. What a fun summer! Sorry, I have felt like crap ever since before this surgery. I went through an extra day at the hospital a couple of weeks after the surgery. My calcuim was so low everything in my body was twitching and tingling, hands feet legs, mouth even my eyes were twitching I felt like I was going to go into a convulsion. After receiving IV calcium (my arms look like I am a veteran IV drug user and they ache so bad) I am on 3-400mg Citrical 4x per day and rx cacitriol 2- 2x per day. I have had alot of body aches (my ankles and heels really hurt this is new) I am not overweight (YET!) I am getting myself mentally ready for that phase. I downloaded the ThyCa cookbook it looks like it offers alot of diferent ideas. Glad I know how to cook from scratch! Don't get me wrong I feel damn lucky and thank God that this wasn't something worse but I am not the tough it up type person anymore. I have had alot of "stuff" go on in my life over the last few years and this one is just a little more wind out of my already windless sails. I would enjoy some messages thank you
