Hi , I have started my last week and can really believe it, has been a long haul (8,000 miles on my car)
i am wondering about how long did it take people to get there voice back? Mine is down to a whisper and this last week of smaller cone is really beating the crap out of my throat I have Stage III tonsil cancer of the right side and one node 40 treatments of radiation and three sessions of cysplatin over 2 eight hour day
any tricks that can help speed the healing now that I am almost done? My Dr has not allowed much more than nutrition in my diet since the begginig his thoughts are we trying to Kill things not help them live so no green tea,vitimans supplements ect. I felt he was right why give the cancer any help to fight the treatment he did allow me to take Shark Liver Oil pills that have test results showing they help Weaken cancer cells and you may respond better> I have had good results from my treatment so I am glad I did.
I am a little scared right now on what to change and add to my daily routine. I have spent the last 2 months trying to find a place where my life was not hell (constipation,nausea,vomiting,diarrhea,and any type of real food that i get down and made me feel better??) So now I will be done and have to move on to getting back to a new normal?
Is it just try thing a little at a time and see how each goes and you respond?
I have the PEG so I can still get my nutrition as I need it and i have been swallowing water and apple juice the whole time.
Also i am so tired that it is even hard getting my mouth done, takes a long time from beginning to end but i understand how important it is .
I guess that thatwill be a little btter when i am not falling asleep at the sink
