Be careful about the dose of B6. Amounts over 200 mg can be toxic in some persons, so be sure to check with your oncologist before taking this vitamin.
I've been in a clinical trial using Sutent to control my metastisized thyroid cancer for about a year. I've been taking Vitamin B-6 (200 mg daily with my doctor's permission) for the last few cycles. It helps alot with the peeling and flaking, although it doesn't help me much with the pain.
Udder Creme, Bag Balm, and Gold Bond Foot Creme help some with the peeling and pain as well. Using an ice pack is a big help, too.
Hello John
My husband has been on a clinical trial for Sutent, now on 5th cycle. Would be interested to know how you have got on. Arrested growth of the principle cancer ? Any effect on secondary cancers? Useful tips? We find that each cycle is different, with strength of side effects varying each cycle. The last week is always tough, but there are easier weeks which help! Hope to hear from you
