My brother in law was dx with Glioblastoma in August of 2007. He
underwent surgery, and they removed about 95% of the tumor. He then
went through Chemo and Radiation, and in February, after an MRI, the
tumor was back, and about 100X the size. After traditional treatment,
his only option was to try experimental drugs. He has been taking a
drug called AT-101. He is being treated at the University of
Pennsylvania. He still has some complications with short term memory and strength, but overall is doing far better than he was when he was on
chemo. He has had 3 MRI's since Fenruary, and the last two show that the tumor
has shrunk. It's worth looking into AT101.
Keep praying. It's the toughest thing I have ever seen anyone go through. Your support is what she needs. Best of luck to you and your wife.
