Ongoing Challenges

Subject: ongoing challenges
Date: 05/15/2008

My husband had a Whipple procedure in April of 2007.  Since the surgery he has undergone a round of preventative chemo/radiation in May and June of 2007.  The tumor was removed, and no evidence of cancer was found in tissues or lymph nodes.  After dealing with surgical abcesses, weight loss and continued loose/freguent bowel movements, we are connected with a GI specialist to combat the digestive problems.

If anyone has info on what can be expected (and for how long, etc.) it would be appreciated.  We have realized new meaning in the expression "life before cancer and life after cancer".   I need to connect with others who can relate!
