Keep the faith Rosemary and help your dad to fight on.  I have found that with my 43 year old spouse responded well to a regimen that consisted of: Epirubicin, Cisplatin, and 5FU; although it was tought to take at times.  She has remained in remission using Oxaliplatin and 5FU.  If given the choice, our personal selection is to have the 5FU delivered continously via a pump that you carry around.

 Keep the faith!
