Subject: One tumor grows, one shrinks at the same time on Alimta. How can this be?????
Date: 06/05/2008

Hi,

This is weird......  My husband has a tumor in his right lung that was 9mm.  It shrunk 30% after 2 treatments of Alimta.   We had a CT Scan the other day and this tumor has stayed the same size and not grown at all.  The scan also showed a spot that has grown since the last scan.  The oncologist is not sure if this is cancerous and will repeat the scan after two more treatments of Alimta.  My question is, "How can one tumor shrink and remain the same size and another (not confirmed cancer yet but what else?) one keep growing at the same time using Alimta?  If anyone can answer this question, I will be so grateful!!!  It just doesn't seem like this should be possible.

Thank you, for any info!  It is APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laurie
