Hi Folks :)

Have YOU or anyone you know had any success with low dose naltrexone in treating cancer? I have been taking it for 5 months now, with a bone scan due next month (which will hopefully show improvement!) I was diagnosed with breast cancer metastatic to bone two & half years ago, six weeks after my initial diagnosis. My general health is excellent, I have no pain or symptoms.I feel no different since prior to diagnosis.

After diag. I left my husband; lost my house;  and started a new life with my two young daughters which is wonderful. I read and research daily, in regard to all things cancer. I have particular interest in psychoneuroimmunology;nutritional/vitamin supp's; qigong/tai chi & yoga and the power of prayer.

I have devised my own regime of some fifteen to twenty supplements. I heard about Low Dose Naltrexone at a cancer information support group I belong to. In the availavle research, four women with BrCa metastatic to bone went into remission, so I thought it's worth a try! Side effects are negligble. I've also tried intravenous vitamin C/alpha lipoic acid therapy last year, with no noticable effect.

The language of cancer and society's/medical profession's attitudes is another area I would like to see addressed. The way we are told about our diagnosises; our prognosises; treatment options and alternative points of medical view drasticly need review and improvement!! Cheers, H xx
