The notes recommend a third BMB and watch closely and boy I just dont know if I am up to that again. ouchy!!!!! I have to see a new hemotolgist to get my anemia treated. I have been a week and a half without a cbc and I feel fuzzy and weak, plus womens monthlies im sure are not helping. I have 48 hours until i see him afraid of being sent to hospital. I can feel my hbg is under 8 Iron was 6% last time checked. and I dont feel myself at all.
Even if i could just treat the symptoms I would be able to be more patient then feeling like crap everyday. Falling asleep miday at work. Well I am headed that way now. have a good evening. thanks for the advice.

Hi Bubbles,
Your Dr. can give you a pain killing medication before your BMB which will spare you the pain.
Until he gets a confirmed diagnosis I can't imagine that he knows which way to proceed with you, but, I suspect that you will soon have a transfusion. After my first transfusion I felt like a million bucks, but, it didn't last.
Now I am happy with my weekly Aranesp shot and nightly Thalidomide to keep me "stabilized". I have been around 9.0-9.5 hgb, but, all of a sudden this week I went to 10.1 hgb Praise God ! I still like my siestas and have noticed that I am less tolerent to the heat. Being a retired Mf patient I have learned to plan my day around the symptoms on days that I am pooped.
I don't think that comparing labs is a good idea as Mf patients vary in numbers from patient to patient. There is a web site that can help explain your lab test results for you it is: Labtestsonline.org.
I have learned to celebrate the good numbers and to stay as positive as is possible. The disease is not heart warming to say the least, so we need to do all we can to stay positive. I do that through my faith in God. I am unable to do anything to correct this disease, He can do all things. I talk to Him alot.
I pray that this helps you and God Bless You. Let me know how your Dr. visit goes OK.
