Well, we now know my mom is stage 4. The Cancer has spread to her liver and lymph nodes. Two days ago she had a port surgically placed for the chemo, and she will also be receiving radiation. She has lost a lot of weight and I am worried that she will not make it through theses treatments. Mom has decided to follow her doctor's orders, and is not interested in second opinions, clinical trials, or anything else, so we are not pushing her. Can someone please tell me what to expect, and how long she can continue with stage 4? I do not want to ask the doctors in front of her, and she has not asked either. We are so worried and upset over this. Our mom is a wonderful beautiful woman and we love her so much.
