Bodyguy,
I'd at least keep a very close eye on it. If you have any other symptoms like fatigue, night sweats, rash, sweating when drinking coffee, pain when drinking alcohol, fever or a few others, you need to get a second opinion. My doctor dismissed my initial diagnosis of Hodkin's, even though I came in with a print out from WebMD that showed I had 6 of the 8 possible Hodkin's symptoms. She told me I didn't have cancer and rushed me out the door with a few prescriptions. She couldn't have been more wrong.
I definitely don't want to scare you and actually the scenario you describe sounds fairly innocent. That being said, I'm not an oncologist. Just getting a qualified second opinion could stop any/all worry in an instant.
