Hello. My mother has been diagnosed with large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the ectocervix .
My mother is having radical hysterectomy in 3days,although small tumor was removed when she initially visited her local gynecologist,and after that on all CT MRI and all Xray-scans came back normal. Because of this, I think it is definitely was early detection. Since it was determined as NET, they classified it as stage 1b. But as a cervical cancer,they said it is stage 0.
I wrote email to Ceders Sinai hospital since I found a special department there. Also planning to call the hotine and chat from National Cancer Institute.
Does anyone have any more suggestion? Advise? My mom lives in Japan,and she is being treated in Japanese hospital right now, but I have a feeling this kind of research is much more advanced in th U.S.
Unfortunately, she has greencard,but no medical coverage in the U.S,so just if I could know anyone to contact about this...
