Sometimes it is important to be forcefull with patients for their own benefit. I wasn't in that room and I don't profess to know all of the ramifications of that case. It's your Mom's decision. If she is not competent to make these decisions, go to court and get the approval to make those for her. My cousin did exactly that last week so she could legally represent her mother in a very similar situation. Yelling and screaming at patients is certainly not condoned. When that occurs, if you are the caregiver, get some legal standing and act accordingly. This happens all the time with elderly patients.
