My mother has stage 4 lung cancer as a secondary with no primary found. She was diagnosed in March 4-8months. Since then she has had radiation treatment and 4 rounds of chemo. After her last round she suffered septic shock and renal failure but pulled through and spent 6 weeks in hospital.
She is now home 2 weeks and can't seem to increase her energy level. The doctors say her body is too weak from all it's been through and do not want to procede with anymore chemo at this time.
My question is can anyone tell me if this is normal or is this the start of her decline?? Should I start preparing myself??
