My Mom passed away on June 8th 2008 at the young age of 60. She lost her very short battle and only lived ten months from diagmosis to the end. It had spread to her liver I took her out to dinner on Mother's day and she was mobile and feeling tired. Less than 3 weeks later she became jaundiced and very weak. Hospice also increased her meds 5 fold but it didn't help the pain. I took her to the hospital on Wed evening. By Sunday morning she had gone into a come (which I believe was medically induced) and passed away at 10:50 am that day. SHe fought until the very end to live. I hope everyone that has relatives gets yearly exams. It is a shame there is no formal research for this "pushed aside disease" I ended up askinf for St. Jude's to get donations at her funeral. since the American Cancer Sociely uses very little of the money they get for actual research. It's a terrible disease And I wish strenght and courage to all that have to fight against it.
