You have CIN I and your doctor wants to do a LEEP or a cone biopsy? Fire him. Immediately. Most cases of CIN I will clear up by themselves. Do not let him use scare tactics to bully you into anything! Do not let him do any treatment to your body. You are too precious to have somebody who wants to jump the gun, like that. Good healthcare is a right! See if your primary care physician can recommend a caring, ethical GYN to you.
1. First off, look at all of your lab reports. That will show you exactly what has been happening. They're a lot easier to understand than people realize. Any technical terms you don't understand can be looked up in a medical dictionary or explained by people who understand medical jargon.
2. When you see your new doctor, get a detailed discussion of what you have, where it's located, how extensive it is, how many quadrants are involved, if it's in the endocervical canal, and if there is glanadular involvement, especially endocervical glandular involvement.
3. If you really do need surgery, make sure your doctor thoroughly discusses all of your treatment options -- cryosurgery, laser, LEEP, and cold knife, before a recommendation is made. I have now read two medical guides on LEEP, and it is a requirement for a doctor to inform you of all your treatment options. You also need to know how experienced that doctor is with the treatment you have chosen together.
But please do not go back to that doctor, again. I am sorry you were put through the wringer like that. It's upsetting enough to be faced with HPV-caused dysplasia. A doctor who goes out of his way to frighten you into treatment that may not be appropriate always makes it worse.
There is also extremely good information posted by Tany, about vitamin/supplements she took to clear up dysplasia. Chemiszt24 did the same thing. Even if you do decide you need traditional treatment, this is still a good way to boost your immunity to protect your health for the future.
