See my post a few down about my mom's bloodclots.  She was into her 2nd week of oral chemotherapy and sleeping a lot, she had a sudden sharp pain in her chest and when she went the ER they admitted her for a large clot in her right lung.  It had broken off from one in her leg and traveled there..fortunately (I guess) that it didn't end up in her brain or heart.  The Dr. said it is VERY common for cancer patients to get clots, he actually likes to do PET scans on people that come in with clots as sometimes that is the first sign that they have cancer somewhere.  Anyway,  after a week in the hospital they sent her home with a daily shot to keep new clots from forming.
