Thank you for your well wishes for my spouse and myself.
My husband has not had any problems with edema, except for the initial swelling that went along with the thrombosis. It would probably be a good idea to check with your mother's doctor about that.
My sister did have pretty much body swelling with late-stage breast cancer, due to albumin issues, her doctor said. I doubt that your mother has the same problem; there are so many seemingly small things that can go wrong with PC. It is very scary for the caregiver as well as the patient.
