A patient with stage IV renal call cancer should be treated by an oncologist who has experience with metastatic kidney cancer.  To find one nead you, call the Kidney Cancer Association (USA 800-850-9132) or join the KIDNEY-ONC email support list (see http://cancerguide.org/kofaq/  ) and ask the list members for recommendations.  Renal cell cancer is difficult to treat and requires an expert.

 Your doctor should work for you.
