Last year I underwent treatment for PCa (PSA: 7.2; Gleason 7; Stage T3A) and I wish someone had summarized for me the following;
Once diagnosed, we all need to follow 3 steps:
1. Accurately assertain exactly what your status is.
2. Determine which treatment will best treat your status.
3. Go to the best Doctor you can find who does that treatment.
The website that walked me through the process and helped me sort out the abundance of information that is out there is www.yananow.net.
After following the above steps and doing my research (PCa is the only illness I know where the patient selects the treatment) I chose Proton Beam Radiation because it is non invasive, painless, and has minimal side effects. I had it done at Loma Linda University Medical Clinic and it was a marvelous experience. After asking my wife to marry me it was the best decision I ever made for myself! If interested, you can check it out at www.protonbob.com.
Good luck on your journey. The best results come by not rushing into something you don't know anything about, doing your homework, and selecting a treatment that will work for you and you are comfortable with.
