Hi Mark - If you go to Cathy's Cafe website, you'll be amazed at the number of long term survivors of Stage IV.   Many are well over 5 years and still NED.  I lost my Dad to the first round of chemo for Stage IV at Hopkins, but, I am convinced after following the survivors on Cathy's Cafe that it does NOT have to a death sentence!   There are many on there!   Good luck to you Mark - My prayers are with you!   karen
