I admire and respect your approach as parents in the face of this life altering situation. It sounds like your are receiving the best medical care and are surrounded by lots of supporting people. Your son is an inspiration to many I'm sure, and I can't help but think of myself at that age, a time when socially one is really starting to develop and connect with the outside world as an independent person.
