J Tube Feeding And Medicare

Subject: J tube feeding and Medicare

My M0m recently had a whipple and because she is only 107 pounds the Dr. inserted a j tube.  It was used a few nights at the hospital but then she was discharged.  The surgeon says a j tube feeding is not something medicare pays for.  Is this true?
