Recurrence Changing To Folfiri

Subject: Recurrence changing to FOLFIRI
Date: 10/05/2008

My husband just learned his CT this past Monday showed lesions at one of his two liver metastasis sites after having surgery the first of Jun. They surgically resected one and used RFA on the on the other.  We don't know which shows the recurrence yet because we just heard about this on the phone and were told they were changing his chemo from XELOX to FOLFIRI.  In fact we don't know if this is considered a recurrence or residual disease. He is very uspset that he has a recurrence so soon after surgery and after putting up with the Oxaliplatin side effects for 4 cycles.

Has anyone got any advice or information regarding what he might experience with this FOLFIRI regime?

Bonnie
