My mother in law was recently diagnosed with met colon cancer. She has a colostomy from a colon surgery 2001. the tumor in her liver is 4,5 cm. She was told by the oncologist to take eloxatin regime, however she has numerous other medical conditions inluding COPD, congestive heart failure, renal failure (needing dialysis soon) and vascular disease. the oncologist said she will give her half dose of chemo but the side effects of this chemo will probably kill her before the cancer does. Anyone in the same situation or can relate to this story? Right now her children have decided not give her chemo.
