Subject: my Dad Too

My dad just had a neo-bladder put in. His sugery took over seven hours which is long and perhaps caused him to develop an abscess one week post op. For my dad the bad was not an option. He was totally aginst it and it was his decision. The longer the sugery the more risly but our doctor told us that he does three a week and the complication rate is low. We were one of the unlucky ones. Dad is still now eight weeks out very tired. The sugery itself wasnt nearly as abd as you would think. All but dad wer up walking the next day and looked great. Since he was hospitalized for two weeks, we met three others who went through the same operation with great sucess. Hope this helps!
