My experience may be of some help. April 2005 I had surgery which was a surprise that a tumor was found. Diagnosis was soft tissue sarcoma. Additional surgery was done in June. Radiation treatments followed. additional surgery was planned but x-rays showed that cancer had moved to lungs in about 20 cancerous nodules so surgery was cancelled. I had two treatments of adriomycin chemo and then more concentrated radiation. A scan proved that the adriomycin did not affect the cancer in the lungs. a more powerful chemo called ifosfamide was begun and now I have had 5 cycles. Each cycle is a week of all day treatment. A scan after 2 cycles showed significant shrinkage of the lung nodules. I take another next week and am scheduled for a 6th cycle of ifosfamide starting 15 May. My assumption is the medics have a variety of chemos and have to try to find out what works in each person's case. Best of luck.
