I am recovering from the Whipple procedure now. My surgery was done in October 2005 and took 12 hours to complete. Two days after surgery my left lung colapsed and I was on a vent for 14 days. Needless to say, I almost didn't make it. Recovery has been slow but we are making progress. I will start radiation soon and additional chemo. If anyone has tips on how to make radiation easier please let me know.
