Hi Bondra,
I am new to this site. My mother was diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer last week. Surgery is tomorrow, Sept. 25th, 2008.
We have the same questiosn regarding chemo. Please share what you found.
Thank you,
Chopps
Dear Chopps and Bondra,
I had all the rounds of the paxlitaxol/carboplatin and then the docliataxol/carboplatin with no results, my cancer just kept spreading. I was then put onto Caelyx which is not for a cure just to give you more time. In the end this was making me so sick that I asked them to stop as I was prepared just to die. I then got onto a doctor who administers high doses of Vitamin C and B17 intravenously. I was sceptical but thought hey what other chance do I have and now after 4 months of weekly treatments ALL my tumours have calcified. I DO NOT have any active tumours. Not bad for someone who the doctors have classed as terminal from day one and here I am 21 months later and feeling good. It is worth looking into at least. My doctor told me that the high doses of Vitamin C intraveously also can help the chemo to work while at the same time helping with the side effects of the chemo. Don't give up until you have tried everything both on the medical side and also the natural ... who knows what works for one person may not work for another !
Good luck to all of you xxxxxxxx you are in my thoughts xxxxxxxxx
