I'm about to start chemo treatments at Memorial Hospital in NYC. One of the caveats in the literature they gave me states "this medication may have temporary or permanent effects on your hearing, such as ringing or a stuffed sensation in the ears, hearing loss of high frequency sounds, and difficulty hearing in background noise." I already have all of the above in one of my ears but the other is fine. Is this just a warning or have any of you who have had this treatment actually had hearing problems? Did they go away?
