Hi Tracy,
Sorry I didn't reply for so long but I went skiing in British Columbia for a couple of weeks. I did try to reply but I was having trouble finding the blog after I logged on. Good to hear that you got a second opinion and that it confirms what my doc told me. How is your treatment going? I am 6 treatments and 4 days into the Efudex and I have absolutely no reaction yet. The doctor had me on Obagi which is a retin A treatment for a few weeks before the Efudex. It is susposed to make it easier on you when you finally start. So far so good.

I was so happy to find this message board as I was not given much information from the Dermatologist. I am also into the 4th day of treatment with Efudex 5% (8 applications) 2x day. I also do not have any change but if all accounts are accurate I am dreading it. Its -39C where I live and when I went outside and my face became extremely RED within a few seconds, my husband could not believe it, so now I am staying inside for a few days as its so cold. Please post your progress as you go on it will be informative and interesting as you are the same time in treament as I am. Have you looked at www.topicalchemo.com its a very informative but very scary description as to what one can expect.
GOOD Luck
