Cisplatin & Vp 16

Subject: Cisplatin & vp 16

My mom was dx with nsclc IIIB march 06 after 3 months of tests.
her local dr. started her on low dose carbo & taxol with daily radiation also.
we went for a 2nd opinion at sloan kettering in nyc. the dr recommended cisplatin & vp 16 plus the radiation. 2+ year survival is at 29% I was told. i dont see anyone else talking about this regimen.....
thoughts???
