My mother was just diagnosed with stage 1 endometrial cancer and will be having a radical hysterectomy soon. I have been looking up info on survival rate, and all I run across is the 5 year survival rate, which is quite good. But what I am really looking for is some answers in real world terms. Does the 5 year rate mean she is likely to only live 5 years after her surgery? What are her chances of living out a full, natural life? She is only 51 and in very good health, with no other medical problems. I know no one can tell me how long she will live or if this caner will kill her, but there must be statistics out there on how long these cancer patients typically live. Please help as I am worried to death!
