Even if your not married you can get FMLA. You hve been taking care of him over a year. Talk to your HR Department. Possibly the senior or Supervisor. You do qualify for FMLA if your partner has lived with you over a year and your his provider. Don't give up. Your in my prayers... YOu can also request catastrophic leave from other state agencies. Go to your Union rep and inform them your in hardship and want your request for catastrophic leave credits to be state wide. OR you can go to other state agencies and ask that they publisize your request because of your hardship. Just a suggestion... Again good luck
