I was informed as a atate employee I was eligible there was certain criteria that must be met: you have to worked 1250 hours in the last 12 previous moths, be a permanent full time employee, give employer 30 day notice if forseeable, ( notice with 2 workingdays is not foreseeable-except for extradinary conditions): must provide medical certification. Depending on your contract unit. you may want to check into this if he is your fiance'. significant other..
