Subject: Blast Counts
Date: 10/11/2006
My stepdaughter is AML and post BMT and aside from the BMT not working, has dealt with Kidney failure just recently. Now her kidneys are recovering (thank GOD!) but her blast counts are rising. She went from a 15% to a 17% in two days. Does anyone out there have experience with this? Can anyone tell me what to expect? The doctors will not treat her at this point because her organs are too frail. She just turned 18.
