Thanks for the information - it was very helpful. Your case actually sounds a little worse than my mother's. The mass in her pancreas is only the size of a quarter and while it has spread to her liver it has only created what they are calling "lesions". They are small spots, 1cm and under. When I asked the surgeon who did the biopsy why they would not at least remove the mass on the pancreas he said "that is just not the way it is done b/c of the fact that it has already spread to surrounding organs". I am surprised you were eligible for surgery given that it had spread. I guess every case is different, but I am thrilled for you and pray that you will have continued good health. It is comforting to hear success stories for a change - there are so few with this disease. I will be looking into the alternatives you mentioned. She has been on a mushroom supplement for a couple months now - AHCC. Thanks again!
