My name is Hazel and Unfortunately my huspand was diagnosed with liver cancer at the beginning of june. He was a fit, 52 year old, non-smoker, non-drinker, totally organic food consumer. The tumour apparantly was the size of a grapefruit and had pushed through the stomach wall into the lung. A major operation combining the liver and the thoracic team were involved. Half of my huspand's liver was removed and part of the stomach wall and a quarter of the lung. The histology report showed that it is Spindle Cell Cancer and the primary is not known. After the operation we were told that they removed everything they could see and had taken wide margins. He's recently had a bone scan which was clear but a CT scan revealed a tumour 2.5cm in the thoracic cavity. We dont know where to turn from here as knowledge of Spindle Cell is very rare. If anybody has any experience with Spindle Cell I would be very grateful if you could contact me --- Message edited by CancerCompass staff: for personal protection, email address removed.
