I have never experienced anything like this before. My mother 76 was diagnosed with lung cancer in June of 2004. She had a lobectomy and 1/3 of her lung was removed. Afterward she had a whole body Pet scan and no cancer was to be found anywhere in her body. Treatments were not necessary. She healed very well and was doing very well for 8 months. She started getting severe headaches and nothing seemed to help. She had been experiencing memory loss. She was taken in and the doctor ordered a MRI of her head. It was discovered that she had 2 tumors on her brain. Immediately she was ordered to begin radiation. She underwent 15 treatments of radiation. She was a trooper. Her attitude was that she had a lot of living to do. She was a very active person, gardening, cooking and had all of her kids and grandkids spoiled. My dad has always leaned on her for everything. The last couple of treatments, she began feeling real weak. She was dehydrating. We took her to the hospital and was admitted on June 12. It was down hill from there. After 20 days, she was released to go home on Hospice. We still did not believe that she was dying. By the time we got her home, she never felt that she was home. She kept talking to her loved ones that had gone on before. She recognized us but she felt that she was not home. She went home on July 28, 2005. This was hard for us, but now I look back and I say that she is better off where she is. My dad is the one who needs all our support. We need to uplift him because his whole life was her. They were together 62 years. My dad is a commercial fisherman and that enabled them to do everything together. We were a low income family with many luxuries missing but we had nothing missing when it came to love and provisions. God has blessed us in many ways. Our memories will live on and our dad will try very hard to live the rest of his life the best that he can. We will help him and one day we will meet our loved on the other side. Oh!! My My

God Bless all of you who are carrying a cross
