My husband had his left kidney and a rib removed on 11/17. The pathology report said it was "Papillary Renal Cell Carcinoma". It had extended into the capsule but not beyond it. Stage II. They found no cancer in lymph nodes or rib bone. He is recovering well. Now on to the scary part. He has a small malignant tumor in his remaining kidney. The Urologist and Oncologist seem to disagree about treatment. Surgery vs. alternatives. I know our first step is to get him completely recovered from this surgery. He also has a small mass in one lung that they are going to re-scan to see if it has gotten larger, only 2mm. Any advice most appreciated. Everyone on this site has been in my daily prayers.
Thanks,
Dolly
