Hello, I am new to this site also. I hate what has happened to your mother, as I know how you feel. My dad had complained of pain as well and he started out with turning yellow-jaundis- sorry if I spelled it wrong. And then they did surgery to put a stint in to open the bile duct. A lab tech noticed the tumor markers were high, but the doctors did nothing about it. If they would have done surgery to remove the tumor at that time, they would have gotten it out. But of course, being pancreatic cancer, it spreads so fast. Now they say that it is inoperable. He has had radiation, and now is going through chemo. What angers me is that they waited to do anything because it was a holiday weekend!! How absurd is that? If someone goes to the emergency room on a holiday there is still some one there. I pray to God that he intervene now, because "man" has done what they can do, now let God do what only he can do. God bless you my friend and I hope that your mother is doing well. Linda
