My 67 year old mother was recently diagnosed with rectal metastatic melanoma with mets to the liver.  If you could provide any information on what treatments you have pursued that you felt were worthwhile, please let me know!  Thanks so much.
i really wish i could give you great advice but i have researched and anal melanoma is rare and pretty much noncureable my husband has opted out of all treatment because he feels good now and dont want to spend what time he has left in the hosiptals. chemo ,radation, and interferon have little effect on this cancer .i would go to a place that treata melanomas only they have lots of info . i hear texas has a great hospital and new york i wish i could help you more ,but do pray and try to get answers it is hard because drs. do not want to alway be up front. my husband refuses to travel or do any thing .i hope your mom finds the cure i will pray for her . try to live each day to the fullest and not get totally engulfed by the disease it is very hard
